Ma-Ro Catering began with a shared love of great food and bringing people together.

Founded in 2016 by Mauricio Pozos and Chef Roshan Wanasingha, Ma-Ro has grown into a full-service catering company known for thoughtful menus, genuine hospitality, and a personal approach to every event.

Today, a dedicated team of culinary, event, and hospitality professionals carries that vision forward, bringing passion, creativity, and experience to every event. Over the years, Ma-Ro has grown alongside the clients, partners, and communities we serve.

From intimate gatherings to weddings, corporate events, and large-scale celebrations, we believe the best experiences begin with understanding the people behind them. That connection continues to shape the way we cook, create, and celebrate with our clients today.

Meet the Founders

At the heart of Ma-Ro Catering is the partnership between Chef Roshan Wanasingha and Mauricio Pozos. Together, their decades of experience in culinary arts and event production have shaped Ma-Ro from the very beginning.

With more than 25 years of experience, Chef Roshan has built his career across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Dubai, and Canada, working in renowned kitchens including the Burj Al Arab and Hilton Colombo. His global training, technical skill, and creative leadership are central to Ma-Ro’s culinary identity. Today, he brings that experience to every menu, creating food that reflects both where he’s been and the people he’s cooking for.

That same level of care extends beyond the kitchen. Mauricio brings decades of experience in event planning and production, from intimate gatherings to large-scale events of up to 5,000 guests. His Mexican roots and deep appreciation for hospitality and celebration, bring warmth, energy, and a personal touch to every event.

Together, Mauricio and Roshan have built Ma-Ro on a simple belief: exceptional food brings people to the table, but it’s the experience that stays with them.
